KIEV ANGRY ABOUT G-7 SNUB ON CHERNOBYL.

Ukrainian officials were angry at the G-7 for failing to come up with the additional money that Ukraine had requested to close down the damaged Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Kiev radio reported June 18. One official said that the Halifax decision showed that the world did not care about nuclear safety. But Ukrainian government officials said that they were pleased that the G-7 had not wrapped the issue of the fate of Chernobyl into plans for a Moscow conference on nuclear security next spring.
