OSCE’S CHECHEN MISSION BURGLARIZED.

The office of the OSCE mission in the center of Djohar-gala was broken into during the night of July 22-23. Thieves made off with some $30,000 and a Jeep that had been parked outside. Two guards were taken captive but later released, and none of the mission’s foreign staffers was in the office at the time. Political motives are not suspected. (Itar-Tass, July 23)
