RUSSIA LEADS THE WORLD IN ABORTIONS.

Because of the lack of availability of alternative means of birth control, Russian women continued to lead the world in the number of per-capita abortions, Interfax reported June 22. The 3.5 million abortions last year works out to 98 abortions per 1,000 women or 225 abortions for every 100 live births, figures many times higher than in other countries.
