Johnathan Krause
Johnathan Krause’s interests include exploring issues about Afghanistan and the Central Asian states. He studied at the University of Wisconsin as a graduate student at the Center for Russian, East European, and Central Asian studies with a focus on the latter region. There he researched topics such as diplomacy with insurgent groups, the evolution of rule in Afghan history, and others. He also learned Pashto at Wisconsin and completed two summer sessions of Turkmen and Dari at Indiana University. He is currently an intern at The Jamestown Foundation.
