HAMAS-IRAQ PUBLISHES PIONEERS OF GLORY MAGAZINE

In March, Iraq’s 1920 Revolution Brigades splintered into two corps, one of which retained the name 1920 Revolution Brigades and the other calling itself Hamas-Iraq (Terrorism Focus, April 10). In July, Hamas-Iraq released its first magazine, which was published on jihadi internet forums. The magazine, called Ruwwad al-Ma’ali (Pioneers of Glory), contains articles announcing the previous declaration of Hamas-Iraq’s formation, religious poetry, pictures of military operations and articles on jihadi issues. Analysts believe that Hamas-Iraq is more nationalist-leaning and less involved with al-Qaeda (Terrorism Monitor, April 12). The magazine can currently be found at https://www.ikhwan.net/vb/showthread.php?t=36095.
