GOVERNMENT MAY NATIONALIZE BANKRUPT ENTERPRISES.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Maslyukov yesterday denied that Russia’s new government intends to nationalize profitable industrial or financial enterprises. He said the government has no plans for a “massive redistribution of property.” However, Maslyukov added, the state might take over responsibility for inefficient or bankrupt enterprises (Russian agencies, September 22).
