Valeriya Novodvorskaya, who made her name as the only politicalprisoner under Gorbachev, when she was arrested for denouncingthe Soviet leader for the January 1991 Vilnius killings, was calledinto the Moscow prosecutor’s office and told she is under investigationfor slandering the Russian president, Moscow’s Echo radio reportedJuly 31. In one of her recent articles, Novodvorskaya called Yeltsina "fascist" for his actions in Chechnya.
