YELTSIN LEAVES HOSPITAL, BUT MAY MISS ELECTION ANYWAY.

Russian president Boris Yeltsin left the hospital today after a month of treatment for a heart complaint. Spokesman Sergei Medvedev refused to say whether Yeltsin, now under supervision at the Barvikha sanatorium, would be able to take part in Russia’s election campaign. "The president will be staying at Barvikha until he is completely well," Medvedev said by telephone. According to Itar-Tass news agency, Yeltsin’s treatment could last up to a month.

Senior Defense Ministry Official Dismissed.
