RUSSIA TO DESTROY CHEMICAL WEAPONS.
Russia’s government announced yesterday that it plans to destroy its full stock of chemical weapons by the year 2005. Moscow has adopted a $3.6 billion program to rid the country of what it says are 40,000 tons of chemical weapons and to destroy or disinfect current storage sites.
