Yugoslav Defense Minister Dragoljub Ojdanic, an indicted war criminal, spent five days in Moscow on a visit that was disclosed only after its completion on May 12. The visit may be part of an emerging pattern. Last month Iraq’s defense minister made an unannounced trip to Moscow, and Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations traveled with his Chinese counterpart to Belgrade for talks that were not announced until they were over.
