Yuliia Khimeryk is an investigative journalist and freelancer who works with The Reckoning Project. She is a three-time finalist of the National Journalistic Investigative Competition in Ukraine.
Until 2022, she investigated criminal offenses, including the involvement of children in organized crime, human trafficking, and corruption within law enforcement agencies. Since the start of the full-scale war, she has focused on investigating war crimes—in particular, the illegal deportation of children, the killing of civilians, torture, and the execution of prisoners of war.
Yuliia is the author of the investigative documentary “Escape from the Russians: The Story of Rescuing Two Ukrainians,” released by Slidstvo.Info. The film was presented at the United States Congress.
She researches indoctrination and militarization in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as recruitment efforts by Russian special services.
