Jamestown President Glen E. Howard Appears on TRT World to Discuss US-Turkish Relations

On June 19, Jamestown Foundation President Glen E. Howard appeared on TRT World to discuss the future of US-Turkish relations in light of the internationally recognized Libyan government’s, the Government of National Accord (GNA), success in pushing out Field Marshall Khalifa Haftar’s forces from Tripoli, something that was only possible with support from Ankara. Howard remarked that the US is now recognizing the proxy war nature of the conflict, and Turkey’s potentially beneficial role in countering Russian influence in Libya.
