"IRANIAN AGENTS" ARRESTED IN ALMATY.

Kazakhstan’s Committee for National Security yesterday arrested four "Iranian intelligence agents" in Almaty. They do not possess diplomatic immunity. According to the CNS’ announcement, the agents were caught in the act of receiving documents which contained economic and political information from a Kazakh citizen, who had been recruited by the Iranians. Officials added that the documents also contained "data on certain persons in power." The CNS said it had been monitoring the Iranians’ activities for some time. Those arrested do not possess diplomatic immunity. (Xabar TV, Russian agencies, February 24, 25)
