Dr. Brynjar Lia is a research professor at the Norwegian Defense Research Establishment (FFI) and the author of a forthcoming biography on Abu Mus'ab al-Suri entitled Architect of Global Jihad: The Life of Al-Qaeda Strategist Abu Mus'ab Al-Suri (London: Hurst & Co Publisher, 2007).
