In yesterday’s edition of The Monitor, the item "France Tries to Boost Russia’s Status" incorrectly stated that France and Russia would co-chair both the April and June 1996 summit meetings of the G-7 countries. It also stated that both summits would be devoted to nuclear security issues. In fact, Russia and France will co-chair only the April meeting in Moscow, which is the only summit that will concern nuclear security. Russia will play its usual subordinate role at the June summit, to be held in Lyon, France.
