"RUSSIA IS OUR HOME" TO FIGHT FOR TOP DUMA JOBS.

The "Russia is Our Home" bloc intends to nominate its own candidates for Duma speaker and chairmen of key committees, faction leader Sergei Belyaev yesterday told journalists. Belyaev predicted that the struggle for control of the Duma chair will be a clash of two forces, ROH and the Communists. He also held out a possible government reshuffle but not necessarily linked to the outcome of the elections. Earlier this week Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin offered to discuss the appointment of Communists to his government. (1)
