A Russian commentary observed yesterday while former Soviet ally North Korea will not be represented at ceremonies this week marking the 300th anniversary of the Russian fleet, former Cold War adversaries South Korea and Japan will send ships. The festivities, to be staged in the Far Eastern port of Vladivostok July 26-30, will also include naval vessels from China and the U.S. The Japanese destroyer "Kurama" will be the first Japanese warship to visit Russia since 1925.
