The defense chiefs of South Korea and Russia have signed a memorandum on military cooperation that Moscow hopes will boost its arms sales to the Asian nation. The document, said to involve primarily military-technical cooperation, was signed in Moscow on November 4. Russia is angling to win a lucrative contract to supply South Korea with advanced fighter jets. (UPI, November 4)
