FUTURE DUMA MEMBERS MAY HAVE TO TIGHTEN THEIR BELTS.

Rossiiskaya gazeta onMay 17 said that those thinking about running for the Duma should rememberthat under the terms of a law which will come into effect after the election,deputies in the next session will not be allowed to serve in the cabinet,hold a civil service position, or have any income producing job while in thelegislature. The paper did not say whether this law would in fact beenforced.
