RUSSIA CUTS OIL EXPORTS TO CIS COUNTRIES

In the firsthalf of 1995, Russia exported 13.8 million tons of crude oilto the countries of the CIS, a 15 percent decline from the same period a year ago, Moscow officials told the Petroleum InformationAgency July 3. Ukraine received the most: more than 5 milliontons of crude, 715,000 tons of refined oil products, and 32billion cubic meters of gas during this period. It also ranksfirst as an energy debtor to Russia, accounting for 10.4 trillionrubles of the 16.2 trillion aggregate CIS and Baltic debts toRussia for oil, and for more than 10 trillion rubles for gasas of May 1995. Belarus is the second-largest importer with 5.5million tons of crude oil and oil products and 7.2 billion cubicmeters of gas, and is also the second-largest debtor at 2.8 trillionrubles for crude oil and oil products, and 2.25 trillion forgas.
