Jamestown Senior Fellow Thomas Kent Writes Op-Ed in The Hill on Russian Challenge to RFE/RL

Jamestown Senior Fellow Thomas Kent, a former president of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, wrote an op-ed in The Hill on the assault by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the congressionally-funded news agency. As Kent writes, RFE/RL has built a strong program in Russia, staffed entirely by Russians creating news out of Kremlin control for Russian viewers. New Russian “foreign mass media laws,” however, threaten to close RFE/RL’s operations in the country.
