CHECHEN REFUGEES TO TAKE PART IN ELECTION.

Russian Security Council secretary Ivan Rybkin met yesterday with Momadi Saidaev, chairman of the Central Election Commission preparing for the presidential and parliamentary elections to be held in the Chechen republic on January 27. Rybkin said that he and Saidaev had agreed on the participation in the elections of some 400,000 residents who had fled the fighting and are now living outside the republic. Polling stations will be set up in Moscow, Stavropol, Rostov-on-Don and other Russian cities, and also in Kazakhstan and Ukraine. (Itar-Tass, December 5)
