ESTONIAN PRELATE DENIED RUSSIAN VISA.

Publication: Monitor Volume: 1 Issue: 117

Archbishop Jaan Kiivit, head of Estonia’s Lutheran Church which encompasses virtually the entire Estonian people, has been denied an entry visa to Russia. Estonia does not recognize the annexation but continues to look to the 1920 Russian-Estonian treaty of Tartu, still in force under international law, to define the border between the two countries.
