. Indeed, the Kremlin soon widened its attack to include Estonia, and the Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow would use its contacts with Western countries to "isolate" Riga and Tallinn. It also underscored that Russia’s relations with Latvia and Estonia would depend directly on the treatment of their "Russian-speaking" populations.
