FORMER RUSSIAN SECURITY CHIEF IMPLICATED IN 1995 TOKYO ATTACK.

Yoshihiro Inoue, the "intelligence chief" of Japan’s Aum Shinri Kyo cult, testified yesterday that former Russian Security Council secretary Oleg Lobov had provided blue prints for a nerve gas plant used by the cult to produce deadly sarin gas. The gas was released in a 1995 attack on Tokyo’s subway that left 12 dead and thousands injured. Inoue claimed that Lobov was paid approximately $79,000 for the information. (Kyodo, AP, April 23)
