GEORGIA’S MILITARY COMMISSAR DISMISSED AND ARRESTED.

Georgia’s defense minister, Lt. General Vardiko Nadibaidze, has dismissed the country’s military commissar, Colonel Tariel Abuashvili, and sanctioned Abuashvili’s arrest initiated by the chief prosecutor’s office. Abuashvili, who was the chief official in charge of military conscription. is accused of having accepted bribes from draftees and their parents in exchange for service deferments.
