HOW HAVE RESTORATION FUNDS IN FACT BEEN USED?

In March 7 it was annouced that, in four days’ time, on March 11, representatives of the Russian Accounting Chamber were to travel to Chechnya to examine how budgeted funds earmarked for the restoration of the economy and the social sphere of Chechnya had in fact been used. It was also reported that employees of the pro-Moscow administration of Grozny District in Chechnya had “stolen 2 million, 150 thousand rubles from budgeted funds.” A joint investigative group of the Russian Procuracy and the Grozny district FSB has been formed to investigate the case (Lenta.ru, March 7).
