Soon after agreeing to buy Russian Su-30MK strike fighters, the Indian Air Force has expressed interest in the Mikoyan MiG-AT military trainer, according to Indian officials in New Delhi. Indian pilots were recently allowed to fly the new aircraft, which is competing with a Yakovlev trainer to replace Russia’s aging Czech-built trainers. The MiG-AT is equipped with French engines.
