Publication: Monitor Volume: 3 Issue: 216

An Iranian citizen accused by Russian authorities of trying to obtain classified information on Russian missile technology will be expelled from Russia today, Foreign Ministry sources in Moscow indicated yesterday. Criminal proceedings will apparently not be launched against the Iranian, who Russian sources say is a staff member at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow. A Russian Foreign Ministry statement said that Iran’s ambassador had been summoned to the ministry on November 15 and had been officially informed of Moscow’s displeasure over the incident.
