KGB SUCCESSOR AGENCY KEEPS UP ATTACK ON ESTONIA.

Publication: Monitor Volume: 2 Issue: 92

An official spokesman of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) yesterday renewed allegations that Estonia’s Defense League Kaitseliit, a component of the country’s armed forces, has been in contact with the Irish Republican Army (IRA) to supply it with arms. The allegations were as unsubstantiated as those made last week and ignored not only Estonia’s own dismissal of the charges, but also its reference to British intelligence as denying them. The FSB spokesman urged Britain to cooperate with Russia in stopping the alleged arms deals. Russia’s mainstream government agencies continue to tolerate the FSB’s political warfare against Estonia.
