The Moscow Aircraft Production Association [MAPO], manufacturer of MiG fighters, has already lined up export orders worth $1.2 billion this year and expects to sell aircraft abroad worth $7.1 billion by the year 2000. MAPO includes both the MiG and the Kamov Helicopter design bureaus. It is offering for sale a modernized version of the MiG-29, the MiG-AT jet trainer, and both the Kamov Ka-52 Alligator helicopter gunship and a Ka-32A civilian helicopter. (Interfax, February 26)
