The Chechen delegation and OSCE mission staff, returning under Russian escort from the Nazran talks, were attacked twice yesterday in the vicinity of Russian checkpoints. In each incident the motorcade was hit by three remote-controlled mines. The blasts wounded seven persons, mostly bystanders, and damaged several cars including that of OSCE mission chief Tim Guldimann who narrowly escaped serious injury. The Chechen leaders and Guldimann described the attacks as intended to disrupt the armistice. So far, Moscow has not reacted to the attacks. (Russian and Western agencies, June 11)
