MOSCOW ARRANGES ANOTHER CHECHEN PEACE CONFERENCE.

BorisYeltsin’s office told Itar-Tass July 11 that Moscow was helpingto organize a conference on national reconciliation in Chechnya.The meeting is to be held in Vladikavkaz later this week and willinclude leaders from all North Caucasian republics, the pro-MoscowChechen regime, and representatives of Chechen president DzhokharDudayev, including top Chechen negotiator Usman Imayev. EarlierRussian officials reportedly had been skeptical about the valueof this meeting. In a related development, the Russian authoritiesdispatched to Chechnya a joint Russian Orthodox and Muslim delegationheaded by Metropolitan Kiril of Smolensk and Kolmna. He will alsoparticipate in the Vladikavkaz meeting.
