MOSCOW CRITICIZES TURKISH CYPRIOTS.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry last week laid the blame for the failure of UN sponsored talks on the reunification of Cyprus squarely on the shoulders of the Turkish Cypriots. Various Russian diplomats, in Moscow and at the UN talks in Glion, Switzerland, accused the Turkish Cypriot side of obstructing the talks and criticized it for threatening to integrate with Turkey in the event that Cyprus wins entry into the European Union. (Russian agencies, Xinhua, August 19) Russia, a traditional rival of Turkey, has strengthened its relations with both the Greek Cypriot government and with Greece.
