MOSCOW: NO MISSILE SALES TO SYRIA.

Publication: Monitor Volume: 3 Issue: 104

Russia has decided not to sell missiles to Syria because it could alter the balance of power in the Middle East, Kremlin spokesman Sergei Yastrzhembsky told an Israeli radio reporter in Paris on May 26. According to the reporter, Russia is, however, interested both in expanding its arms sales to the region and in deepening its role as a participant in the Middle East peace process.
