RUSSIA, CHINA REPORTEDLY ENABLING IRAN TO BUILD THE "ISLAMIC BOMB"
Publication: Monitor Volume: 1 Issue: 102
This morning’s Washington Times reports that, thanks to assistance from Russia and China, Iran is within five years of constructing its own uranium-fueled atomic bomb. The report is a reprint from the London Sunday Telegraph, which claims access to "exclusive information" on the project. It quotes "experts" as predicting that by next year 10,000 Russians will be in Iran, building the nuclear reactors which are a key part of the weapons program. China is credited with supplying a calcutron system for enriching uranium, a technology which the Iranians had hitherto lacked.
