The Russianforeign ministry said July 20 that Moscow had "essentially"decided to recognize passports issued by the Palestinians, Interfaxreported. Such a step, the ministry’s spokesman added, would bothstrengthen Palestinian national consciousness and would help resolvevarious humanitarian problems.
