RUSSIAN ARMS SALES.
Publication: Monitor Volume: 2 Issue: 170
According to the president of Russia’s State arms trading company, Rosvooruzheniye, his company has already signed arms sales contracts this year worth some $8 billion, and expects that figure to rise to $10 billion by the year’s end. (Kommersant-daily, September 7) Those figures presumably reflect the value of contracts signed, and not the value of weaponry delivered this year. Another Rosvooruzheniye official said last month that revenues for arms exports actually delivered this year would probably total about $3.5 billion. (Interfax, August 22)
