RUSSIAN DELEGATION DEPARTS CUBA.

A delegation of Russian parliamentarians, led by Duma speaker Gennady Seleznev, completed an official visit to Cuba on July 28. According to Seleznev, Cuban leader Fidel Castro did not say a "single word reproaching Russia" during a meeting with the delegation, nor did he inquire into the activities of Russia’s Communist party. Seleznev reportedly pledged that Russia would continue to seek financing for completion of a nuclear power plant in Cuba, construction of which has been opposed by the U.S. (Itar-Tass, July 28)
