Germany’s Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA) announced May 17 that it had agreed to cooperate with Russia’s Tupolev Company in the development of a hydrogen-powered aircraft that could reduce pollution and conserve oil supplies. The two also reportedly agreed to look into cooperation in the manufacture of components for Airbus Industrie passenger aircraft. (Reuter, May 17)
