RUSSIAN RAILROAD WORKERS ABANDON HUNGER STRIKE.

Oleg Pavlov, a leader of the independent trade union of railway workers and transport builders, said on Friday that that 110 construction workers on the Severo-Mui tunnel of the Baikal-Amur Railroad (BAM) had declared a hunger strike. According to Pavlov, strikers decided to end their protest action only after being paid back wages owed them since August. (13)
