U.S BRIEFING ON CHECHEN PEACE SCHEDULED.

On Wednesday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. in Room 2168 of the Rayburn Building of the U.S. House of Representatives, a briefing is to be held on the subject “The Prospects for Peace in Chechnya.” Participating in the briefing will be Ilyas Akhmadov, Foreign Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Andrei Babitsky, Russian war correspondent for RFE/RL, and Zbigniew Brzezinski, former U.S. national security advisor. The briefing is being sponsored by the National Endowment for Democracy and the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya.
