The value of contracts to export Ukrainian military equipment and services signed during the first six months of this year was 2.5 times greater than during the same period in 1996. According to the deputy general director of Ukraine’s Ukrspetsexport company, Ukraine earned $185 million from arms sales last year. (Itar-Tass, July 25)
