YELTSIN MEETS WITH PRIMAKOV.

Publication: Monitor Volume: 4 Issue: 168

President Boris Yeltsin met this morning with Yevgeny Primakov for the first time since Primakov was appointed prime minister. Primakov reportedly told the president–who is seen in Moscow increasingly rarely–about the difficulties he is having putting together a cabinet with representatives of both wings of the political spectrum. Primakov said afterward that he expects to complete the cabinet within the next two days and that it will contain a substantial number of the members of the old cabinet (BBC, September 15).

PRIMAKOV WARNS OF “EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES.”
