LITHUANIAN-RUSSIAN BORDER TALKS DEADLOCKED.
Publication: Monitor Volume: 2 Issue: 80
The latest round of Lithuanian-Russian negotiations on defining the common border adjourned without results. The talks concern the border between Lithuania and that exclave of Russia. The delegations differed over how to draw the border along several inland bodies of water and also in a Baltic Sea sector believed to have oil deposits. Russia’s border talks with Latvia (see Monitor, April 22) and Estonia are also deadlocked. (BNS, April 19)
