BASE SALES TO PAY FOR MILITARY RETIREE HOUSING.

Kaliningrad has established a special council to sell off 20 unused military bases and use the proceeds to finance the construction of housing for retired officers, Strazh Baltiki reported March 22. The program, the first of its kind in the Russian Federation, expects a large number of buyers foreign and domestic.
