RUSSIAN, U.S. PRESIDENTS TO MEET.

According to presidential spokesmen in Washington and Moscow, Presidents Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin will hold talks in 1997, probably in the first half of the year. It would be their first meeting since April; both have since been reelected. Agreement on the 1997 meeting came during talks between U.S. vice president Al Gore and Russian prime minister Viktor Chernomyrdin in Lisbon. The date and venue for the meeting have not yet been chosen. (Reuter, December 3)
