Dr. Dainius Genys is currently engaged in research projects related to the sociology of energy security, civil society studies and sociology of sport. Currently, he works at the Lithuanian Energy Institute as a visiting fellow. In 2013, he won a post-doc fellowship to work on the “Energopolis” project (funded by the Research Council of Lithuania). Dr. Genys is a visiting Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies fellow at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, at the NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence, at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs, at Hebrew University’s Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace, as well as at the University of Messina. He is a member of the Lithuanian sociological association, the European sociological association, and the Advancement of Baltic Studies Association.
