The commanders of the armies of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania yesterday came out for a defense union to support each other if attacked. Estonian Defense Forces chief Alexander Einseln told a news conference, "We formally came to a decision that we are ready to support such an agreement if it is signed by our respective governments."
