BOSNIA CEASE FIRE ANNOUNCED.

President Clinton announced on Thursday that Bosnia’s warring sides had agreed to a ceasefire. Clinton said the U.S.-brokered ceasefire would take effect on October 10, and that the warring factions would attend peace talks in the United States, starting around October 25. Also on Thursday, NATO defense ministers began a two-day meeting In Williamsburg, Virginia, to discuss plans to send a peace-implementation force to Bosnia. The force could include up to 25,000 U.S. troops to police an eventual peace accord.
